CHICK started playing guitar in 1957 at the age of 14 and bought his first Fender Stratocaster Guitar in '59 (which would probably be worth a fortune now had he not sold it for £50!).
He played in various groups for several years and formed his own group called the Sapphires based in East Sussex, playing as supporting group to many artists including, The Tornados, Johnny Kidd & the Pirates, Joe Brown & Nero and the Gladiators ...eventually graduating to recording and session work. Like most Guitarists of that era in the UK his playing was influenced by Bert Weedon and The Shadows.
After a long break pursuing other careers including commercial fishing, flying, diving and manufacturing marine aquariums, he decided to revive his interest in music, investing in his own commercial recording studio where his new CDs are arranged and recorded.
