Dusty Tapes presents two sensational CDs featuring archival recordings of the band Marvin, Welch & Farrar. This is an excellent addition to the band's rather modest discography. All the recordings are being released for the first time.
The CD Marmaduke contains nine tracks from three recording sessions which the band did for BBC Radio. These are completely different versions from those known on their official albums. Thanks to the latest technology, all of these recordings are being released, for the very first time, in stereo versions.
The rest of the album is filled with sixteen tracks recorded between 1970 and 1972 for television. Some of these songs (e.g., Love The One You're With, or The Beatles' Paperback Writer and Norwegian Wood) never appeared on the band's official albums. In some recordings, guest appearances include Cliff Richard, and in one track, Cilla Black. The album is completed with an interview with Hank and Bruce, recorded for the BBC program Night Ride in the summer of 1971.
The CD Lady of the Morning consists of live recordings. The compilation is arranged in such a way that no track appears more than once on the album. It seems that all these recordings were made by the audience (unfortunately, no professional live recordings of the band have been preserved), but at least half of the album features really excellent sound quality. It is worth noting that a significant portion of the setlist includes tracks from The Shadows' repertoire.
All the tracks have been meticulously remastered, they were presented at the correct speed and, where possible, the balance between individual parts also has been corrected.
This listing is for Lady Of The Morning and it is in a jewel case.
