Stylus Music proudly presents " WAIKIKI SURF BATTLE 1963 & 1964" (10PTING 320)

Although tracks from both albums were put out on vinyl only, some years ago the overall sound was very compressed. Now, for the first time we have both albums complete taken from the original recordings made by Sounds of Hawaii Records.

The Waikiki Surf Battle from the Waikiki Shell outdoor auditorium allowed High School bands a chance to display how much they enjoyed playing this music. The air was electric, the playing dripped out to the audience at high speed in an amazing wave of power and performance. here these 23 tracks just as they were performed all those years ago. Brilliant homage to Dick Dale on Miserlou by The Speidels.
