Another blast of 37 instrumentals in the American tradition. The bulk of this release was also titled 'Barry's Boppersvol 4" as puttogether by down under collector Barry Weston. At least seven of the cuts have never seen the light of day before and are found here for the very first time. The Sonics were an unissued band from Pittsburgh and no connection to the garage rockers. Dave Yorko from Johnny & The Hurricanes appears on track 17 whilst the Drivers hid keyboard player Dave 'Baby' Cortez. Bobby Sheridan was a Pseudonym for Charlie Rich and originally appeared on the Sun Label. From Canada, Ken Davidson recorded three albums and one single (both tracks here) much of his material was country inspired. One that has been featured in the past was a from piano player Slim Willet. There is a very good version of the Wailers 'Shanghaied', always a joy to hear is 'Moon dawg' from The Casuals. The Intruders had a small hit with 'Fried Eggs' making #73 in the Billboard charts during 1959.
