30 classic Shadows recordings drawn from EPs issued in the UK, France and South Africa between 1959 and 1962, steering clear of their most well-known hits in favour of more modest chart-riders, B-sides, album cuts, and a handful of dedicated EP sides.
The Shadows were the most successful artists on the official British EP charts, between their inauguration in March 1960 and their closure in December 1967.
In total, they spent 894 weeks on the chart, including 69 weeks at No.1, while they registered 38 hit EPs, 8 of which reached No.1.
Their biggest hit EP was Shadows To The Fore, which remained in the chart for 115 weeks.
Rarities here include the undubbed version of Guitar Tango, and Some Are Lonely from a French EP which differed from the UK version.
