Stylus Presents....
When the guys at Pipeline Magazine started a yearly Easter Convention it was a chance to witness some of those early sixties group reunions. Many hadn't played together for many years but in the main they did very well. the only exception being The Cougars who were niggled with sound problems and in the main couldn't play the right notes! Thankfully others were able to contribute to the shows with dazzling performances in particular the original Rapiers who are again are featured here. A firm favourite Nero & The Gladiators played more than once and introduced the larger ensemble, The Centurions featured here for the first time. The Mar-Keys classic 'Last Night' lasts for over 5 minutes. If you purchased Volume1 then you know what to expect of course. Joe Meek act The Moontrekkers gave their follow up to 'Vampire' a sterling treatment and just listen to the organ tone on 'Telstar'. The Packabeats give an airing to the pre-Meek sound of 'Gypsy Beat' . Overall this includes shows between 1995 ands 2006 and I hope you will enjoy these performances under the sound board of Ray Liffen.
