Stylus Music proudly presents " Rock'n'Roll 60s Guitars & Sax from SOUTHERN AUSTRALIA Vol 10." (10PTING 287)
We dedicate this release to our friend Geoff Jermy who published the definitive book on Australian (and New Zealand) Instrumentals and who sadly died suddenly in January this year. With the use of Geoff's invaluable book we have been able to accurately path the many great instros from 'Down Under' and there are plenty more tracks to come in this series.
We open with perhaps the best ever group to emerge, The Atlantics, and we include a rare track from their drummer Peter Hood. Elsewhere you will recognise names from previous volumes such as Dave Bridge, The Marksmen, The Thunderbirds, The Joy Boys and The Leemen. It's been a year since Volume 9 was released but I am sure it has been worth the wait. The bulk of the recordings come from the period 1962-1965.
