Stylus music proudly presents " TIM MYCROFT & SOUNDS NICE" (10PTING 308)

Keyboard player Mycroft's manager Tony Hall heard the big European hit 'Je T'Aime' but envisioned it played instrumentally with a Procul Harum organ sound, Arranger, Paul Buckmaster assembled some musicians behind Tim including Clem Cattini, Dougie Wright, Herbie Flowers, Chris Spedding and Eric Ford and the end result a #18 hit with 'Love At First Sight' and the band became Sounds Nice. An album followed weaving a mixture of tunes from the Beatles 'Fling' to Frank Zappa's ' King Kong' and many compositions from Tim. A second 45 'Sleepless Night', suggested by George Harrison's wife, Patti, failed to chart. A third and final single 'Shadra' is included here with both mono and stereo versions of the singles. Shortly afterwards he recorded one side of a music library album, all original compositions and then disappeared from whence he came. This release includes all tracks we could find including a rare demo he made with The (UK) Knack in 1967. Tim was a very talented player either on piano or Hammond organ.
