Stylus Records Presents…Terry Terauchi is a master of the guitar and keeps the drama and attack very real. The title piece mixes flute and traditional Japanese instruments but it is the guitar and percussion that wins out. I would add that this is undoubtedly one of the best LPs in his exhaustive catalogue and has never been officially re-released.
To follow, a few classical styles pieces like Beethoven’s Fifth and a superb reading of some themes from Swan Lake which are completely outside the basic melody provided by The Cougars on ‘Saturday Night at the Duckpond’. Next, Beethoven with distorted guitar phrases and a little slice of Brahms, favoured by The Ventures as Rap City.
Past a folk melody written by Monti, also handled by Nero and the Gladiators. To close are covers of Firebirds, Ventures, Cliffters and Spotnicks tracks plus one original Black sands Beach. Wonderful music indeed.
